Married at First Sight Mzansi

Experts play matchmaker behind the scenes to pair four grooms and four brides in their 30s who’ll see each other for the first time ever at the altar. After the wedding, they’ll have six weeks to decide whether they want to stay together or split – with the help of marriage and relationship coach Linda Yende; conflict resolution expert Khanyi Yende; counselor Thabang Mashego; gynaecologist and sexologist Dr Mpume Zenda; and marriage officiator and counselor Pastor Xolani Hlitana.

Teenage Pregnancy

Meet South African schoolgirls under the age of 18 who are starting on an emotional five-to-seven-month journey as they reveal to family members and their partners that they are pregnant. The cameras follow them through family meetings, discussions about the potential impact on their education and future, the medical and financial decisions in front of them, and confrontations about co-parenting and responsibility. Behind the scenes, all the key participants in the show are undergoing counselling with certified practitioners.

Lose It Or Lose Me

Weight loss reality intervention show. Follow along as three South Africans – TikToker Mixon "Tsekeleke" Tholo (40, 195kg), digital creator Maletsatsi Otukile (35, 178kg), and digital creator Nonhlanhla Shabangu (29, 214kg) – work to lose weight so they don’t lose their relationships. Registered dietician Phakamile Nqobile Ngubane will help them to develop meal plans, accountability coach Duduetsang Phele will help get them moving along with trainers Sibongile Ngoma and Tsepang Mokoena, and they’ll also undergo therapy with their psychology squad.

Coming soon: Eyamadoda

Three-time SAFTA winner Manaka Ranaka (Stokvel, Generations: The Legacy) hosts this intervention show centred on conversations between the stepfathers who’ve stepped up, and the biological fathers who’ve ghosted. The series spotlights the real work involved in being a father, including the financial responsibility, cultural and spiritual rites, and their loving, guiding presence in children’s lives as they serve as examples of positive masculinity. Expect some heated confrontations, truth bombs, and healing.

Intervention series about inheritance disputes. Ifalami host Busi Lukhele is here to help uncover the truth and get justice, whether she’s called by children who believe that family members have taken money that was meant to pay for their schooling, widows who have to fight their late husband’s family for the house they built together, children from first marriages who’re excluded from a parent’s will, lovers claiming expensive cars for themselves, or family members wondering where the rich uncle’s money went.

Hoarding intervention series. Facilitator and therapist Thabang Mashigo (Seng'khathele, Ngi Shade Wrong and Abobaba) visits people who’re struggling with the clutter that has taken over their homes. While an expert team brings cleanliness and order to their living spaces, Thabang will explore why they began struggling to let go, and to keep up with the demands of taking care of themselves or their families. The goal is to help people to experience hope for the future.

It’s about having the courage to be truthful, and the strength to be vulnerable, in a quest for healing. Clinical psychologist Thabang Tlaka has designed therapy plans to help men who’re struggling with their roles in the family and society, and each week a therapist will help them to explore their issues.
