DStv is introducing a simplified package lineup in Kenya from 5 November 2026. The new structure includes four packages: Starter, Select, Sports and Ultimate.
The changes bring updated channel lineups, a brand-new Sports package, improved entertainment offerings and revised pricing designed to give customers greater choice and value.

New DStv Packages explained
You’ve asked and DStv is listening. The new packages are simpler, clearer and offer more of what you want: more sport, more channels and fewer repeats.
The four core packages are designed to make great content more accessible in Kenya.

For the first time, DStv has a Sports package that brings you the best in top-flight football as well as plenty of local and international entertainment to keep the whole family busy.
The package offers every channel that's available to Select and Starter subscribers. From there, Sports adds every match of the Premier League, Champions League and combat sports (UFC/EFC), and more.
Why are DStv packages changing?
We're making the packages simpler and easier for our customers to understand. We're strengthening our channel lineup, giving customers more value and fresher content. It's the first step in a wider effort to make DStv even better for customers.
What's changing for me?
From 5 November, some DStv customers are being migrated to new packages, and the new packages will be available to new subscribers. The migration is being implemented in phases. If you're one of the affected customers, even if your account shows your old package name, you'll still receive any new channels.
Introducing the new DStv packages
DStv Starter Package
- Get the best value DStv has to offer. Local and international drama, movies and live football with the all-new Maisha Magic Plus, SuperSport KICKOFF, MM Loko, Africa Magic Epic, ROK2 and more.
- 116+ channels.
- From Ksh750 PM.
- Favourite channels include Maisha Magic Plus, SuperSport KICKOFF (including selected matches from the Premier League, Serie A and Ligue 1), SuperSport LaLiga, Africa Magic Epic, ROK2, Movie Legends, Cartoon Network and Novelas+.
DStv Select Package
- Includes everything in the Starter package, along with all the latest from Africa Magic Showcase, M-Net Movies+ and M-Net Stars, and an extensive lineup of kids' channels.
- 149+ channels.
- From Ksh1500 PM.
- Includes Serie A and WWE, Maisha Magic Plus, Novelas, and programmes such as Spinners, Njoro wa Uba and Hulla Baloo.
DStv Sports Package
- Thrilling local and international sport comes together with all the Starter and Select channels, along with all the football DStv has to offer, including every Premier League and Champions League match.
- 159+ channels and 15 dedicated sport channels.
- From Ksh3000 PM.
- Everything in Select plus every match of the Premier League, Champions League and combat sports.
- Additional sports channels include Action, Events, Swahili, Extra and ESPN 2, bringing you content such as UFC, athletics and the Tour de France.
- Also includes additional entertainment from the likes of Maisha Magic Plus, Universal TV and BBC Brit.
DStv Ultimate Package
- F1, MotoGP, cricket, tennis and golf, plus all the entertainment DStv has to offer.
- 180+ channels.
- From Ksh7300 PM.
- Everything on all other packages, plus exclusive premium sports like tennis, golf and motorsport channels, including Formula 1, MotoGP, SuperBikes and the Dakar Rally.
- SuperSport Tennis, Golf and Motorsport deliver premium sporting events such as the tennis and golf majors.
- Subscribers can also enjoy all other sport on DStv, including football, rugby, cricket, cycling, combat sports and athletics.
- The best of local and international storytelling with M-Net, TLC, Comedy Central, Discovery Channel and more.

How are my channels changing?
We've taken the opportunity to refine our channel lineup, reducing repeats and concentrating on fewer, stronger channels.
- The Premier League Match of the Week moves from Compact to Starter.
- The LaLiga channel moves from Family to Starter.
- M-Net Movies+ moves from Premium to Select.
- UEFA Champions League moves from Compact+ to Sports.
Channel enhancements
- SuperSport Swahili: Offers a selection of premium sports content such as two Premier League matches, including the Match of the Week, selected Champions League fixtures, the best Serie A, LaLiga and Ligue 1 matches every week, Europa League action, athletics, marathons, UFC, WWE and selected local sporting events.
- SuperSport KICKOFF: Offers a selection of top football, including the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, LaLiga, Serie A and Ligue 1.
- M-Net Movies+: A refreshed movie proposition that brings newer Hollywood blockbusters sooner, with fresher content and fewer repeats.
- Maisha Magic Loko: A 24-hour channel celebrating vernacular language storytelling through a curated mix of local telenovelas, drama, comedy and music.
How are my movie channels changing?
M-Net Movies+
Movies 1 and Movies 2 merge to become M-Net Movies+, the top movie channel on DStv. M-Net Movies+ carries blockbusters within a year of cinema release and now features fewer repeats. Available on Ultimate, Movies & Series and Select.
M-Net Movies Stars
M-Net Movies 3 becomes M-Net Movies Stars and will carry fresh Hollywood blockbusters as well as indie favourites. Available on Ultimate, Movies & Series and Sports.
M-Net Movies Legends
M-Net Movies 4 becomes M-Net Movies Legends, available from Starter. Legends will bring blockbuster movies to subscribers six months earlier than before.
What do I need to do now?
DStv customers don't need to do anything. Migration to the new packages will happen automatically.

Will my price increase?
There are some pricing changes, so please check the package pricing carefully before selecting your preferred package.
Will my package change automatically?
If you're one of the affected customers, you'll be migrated automatically. Otherwise, you'll remain on your current package. You can also change your package through DStv self-service channels.
How do I know which package I'm on?
You can check your current package via the MyDStv app, WhatsApp self-service, the DStv website or by contacting DStv Customer Care.
Do I need a new decoder?
No. Existing decoders will continue to work and no hardware upgrade is required.
Do I need to update my DStv Stream app?
No. Any updates will be deployed automatically as part of the normal update process.

Are any channels closing or changing?
Yes. Some channels are closing as part of a wider channel optimisation initiative. The goal is to reduce repeats and focus on fewer, stronger channels while maintaining a great entertainment experience.
